New investment from Vatan for USD 12 million
One of the first Turkish establishments in the plastics industry producing plastic film, Vatan Plastics laid the foundation of phase two of its fifth plant in an area of 40 decares.
Speaking at the sod-turning ceremony in Bilecik Osmaneli Organized Industrial Zone, Behruz Vatandost, Board Chairman for Vatan Plastics, said, “This investment cost us USD 12 million. It is essential to us for sustainability. For this very reason, our investments will continue.”
Vatandost: “Our export volume rose 40 percent”
Behruz Vatandost, Board Chairman for Vatan Plastics which achieves an annual export turnover of USD 60 million with employment provided for hundreds of people, said, “Investment in the industry never stops. Investments will be continued. We are investing to strengthen the national economy. We should make an investment at all times. You can’t build a dam while water is coming on the way. You build a dam and water comes. I have always been keeping up with the technology for 60 years. Turkey has no problems in this respect for we are exporting goods to 64 countries. Our export volume is 60 percent. We even managed to increase it 40 percent. And it will continue. Should I be given 500 decares of land here, I would re-invest and do business.”
