Epsan expanding capacity for recycled PA compounds
Epsan is making new investments to expand capacity for recycled polyamide (PA) 6 and PA6.6 compounding grades.
After new investmens, Epsan’s recycled material’s capacity has increased around to 5,500 tons which is 15% total production.
“We see more and more that the automotive industry is looking into eco-friendly solutions for some of the demanding applications such as fans and shrouds and manifolds. With one step processing the post-industrial nylon goes through heat melting process only once instead of the double heat step process which is considerered an old technlogy in the industry,” explained Ercan Ubay, Technical Production Manager of Epsan Plastic.
In addition of prime materials under Eplamid brand, Epsan is presenting eco-friendly post-industrial recycled PA6 and PA6.6 compounds under the Eplon brand.
